Research Statement
I am interested in research that centers underserved communities and creating more equity in technology. Currently I am focussed on AI therapy and support in conversations across demographics. This hopefully will address the biases in AI systems towards certain communities. I am also doing research about the prospects of using LLMS to address the gap in finding accessible transportation for people with disabilities. This work has stemmed into a deep interest in Human-AI interaction and Accessible Technology.

Simulating the User: Multi-Turn Evaluations of Conversational AI Support Across Demographic Contexts
I am auditing support variance and bias in LLM support with demographically distinct Reddit communities. Prior work has shown that LLM performance can degrade over multiple turns suggesting that biases not apparent in a single response may emerge over the course of a longer interaction. In this work I will be simulating multi-turn conversations using posts across subcommunities (e.g., r/TwoXChromosomes, r/NonBinary, r/Daddit) to reveal these discrepencies and hopefully add to the greater body of work towards equitable AI support.
